The Bieg Orchestra Gofriller Model Cello features slightly narrower upper bouts, making it easier to play in higher positions while retaining a powerful, soloistic voice suited to a wide range of performance styles. Its carefully selected European spruce top is paired with beautifully flamed European maple back and sides, which are hand carved for excellent acoustic response.
The cello is finished with an elegant orange-brown spirit varnish over a golden ground in an antique style. The USA setup includes ebony Parisian-eye pegs, a Despiau “A” level Belgian-style bridge, an Akustikus tailpiece, and Larsen Il Cannone strings.
