The Höfner HOF-4-5-AS-VC is a handcrafted cello made from select European tonewoods, reflecting the centuries-old German tradition of violinmaking passed down through generations of master makers. Built using time-honored techniques, it offers an easy response, full-bodied tone, and sonorous projection. Its beautiful antique varnish pays tribute to Höfner’s historic beginnings in Schönbach.
Based on the classic Stradivari form by Antonio Stradivari (c. 1644–1737), this cello combines traditional design with carefully selected German materials and workmanship. It features ebony Parisian-eye Swiss pegs, an endpin, an Aubert “DeLuxe” French bridge, and an Akusticus tailpiece. The cello is adjusted with Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Gold strings.
