The Höfner HOF-225-CB is a Vintage Series violin based on a 1734 instrument by Carlo Bergonzi (1683–1747). Closely connected to the Ruggieri, Stradivari, and Guarneri traditions, Bergonzi developed his own distinctive style in Cremona, combining familiar influences with subtle differences that set his work apart.
The violin features ebony Parisian-eye pegs and endbutton, a Despiau “A” level French bridge, an ebony tailpiece with E tuner, and a Guarneri-model ebony chinrest. It is fitted with Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Gold strings, including a silver G string and loop-end E string, for a refined and responsive playing experience.
