The Howard Core Select “Goldman” Stradivari Violin is a faithful tribute to one of the most iconic instruments in history — the 1716 “Goldman” Stradivari, a Golden Period masterpiece famously played by Yehudi Menuhin and later by Nathan Milstein for nearly five decades. This Core Select edition recreates the tonal brilliance, precision, and refined aesthetics of that legendary instrument for today’s discerning performer.
Handcrafted from 100% European spruce and maple, this violin follows the exact 1716 Stradivari pattern, offering a bold, resonant tone with exceptional projection and balance. The body’s proportions — 353mm body length, 167mm upper bout, and 206mm lower bout — ensure comfort, responsiveness, and even tonal distribution. Every contour is carved and graduated to enhance resonance while preserving Stradivari’s trademark clarity and warmth.
The tone of the “Goldman” model is powerful yet elegant, capable of rich lyrical expression and commanding projection. Fitted with Pirastro Evah Pirazzi strings (loop-end E), it produces a vivid, articulate sound with depth and color suited for advanced and professional players.
