The Gold Tone LS-8 is an 8-string lap steel guitar inspired by the legendary Oahu Tonemaster of the 1950s. Known for its vintage tone and iconic design, this modern reissue is so authentic that even Oahu owners purchase LS-8 parts for their own restorations.
Factory setup is in F6 tuning (DFACDFAC), ideal for Hawaiian, country, Western swing, or jazz styles, though it can be easily adapted for alternate tunings with proper string gauges.
