The Höfner HOF-8 Violin is a German-made instrument designed for intermediate and advancing players seeking enhanced tone, responsiveness, and dynamic range. It features a carefully selected spruce top paired with highly flamed maple, finished with an antiqued, hand-applied varnish made with natural resins. The result is a responsive instrument with a broad and expressive tonal character.
The HOF-8 is fitted with ebony pegs and endbutton, a Despiau “C” level French bridge, and an ebony tailpiece with E tuner. A Guarneri-model ebony chinrest provides comfortable support and complements the instrument’s traditional appearance. The violin comes equipped with Thomastik Dominant A, D, and G strings paired with a Pirastro Gold Label E string with loop end.
