The Höfner HOF-225-AS is a Vintage Series Stradivari model based on a 1719 instrument by Antonio Stradivari (c. 1644–1737). Its design draws inspiration from the exceptional craftsmanship and elegant proportions associated with Stradivari’s instruments, bringing the character of this celebrated model into a modern German-made violin.
The violin is fitted with ebony Parisian-eye pegs and endbutton, a Despiau “A” level French bridge, an ebony tailpiece with E tuner, and a Guarneri-model ebony chinrest. It comes equipped with Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Gold strings, featuring a silver G string and loop-end E string, for a rich, refined, and responsive tonal character.
