The BG-Mini is a scaled-down Bluegrass banjo built for young, serious learners and as the ultimate travel banjo for adults. Inspired by Gold Tone’s BG-150F, it offers professional-level features in a compact form, including an 8-inch head, rolled brass tone ring, planetary tuners, and a bone nut. The shorter 19-3/4" scale length makes it comfortable for smaller players while still delivering authentic Bluegrass tone.
This is not a novelty instrument — it’s a full-quality banjo professionally set up in Gold Tone’s Florida shop and available in a left-handed model. Tuned to open C (like the 5th fret of a standard banjo), it’s perfect for teaching kids, travel use, or as a stage-ready specialty instrument.
