The Gold Tone WR-7 is a banjitar (banjo-guitar hybrid) designed specifically for guitarists who want to capture the authentic banjo sound. Its unique doubled low E string acts as a drone, mimicking the 5th string of a traditional banjo. This clever design allows guitar players to achieve banjo-style resonance without learning a new instrument.
Equipped with a 12" Renaissance head, rolled brass tone ring, and an SMP+ humbucking pickup, the WR-7 combines acoustic projection with amplified versatility. With its comfortable maple neck, curly maple armrest, and smooth radiused rosewood fretboard, the WR-7 is equally at home in the studio, on stage, or in acoustic jam settings. Includes gig bag; left-handed version available.
