The OB-250+ builds on the legacy of Gold Tone’s Orange Blossom line, offering professional-grade craftsmanship with a tonal upgrade. The "plus" lies in its ultra-premium JLS #12 long-skirt tone ring, hand-cast in the USA by Jim Stull. Designed after extensive study of pre-WWII banjo tone rings, this bronze alloy ring maximizes energy transfer from the pot to the neck, mimicking the sound of rare and costly originals. The result is increased sustain, resonance, and a true vintage-inspired Bluegrass tone.
The OB-250+TP variant adds the Companion block-style rim, giving even greater projection and depth. Combined with a flamed maple resonator, curly maple neck, hearts & flowers inlay, and Gotoh planetary tuners, this instrument delivers both striking looks and uncompromising performance. Includes hard shell case. Available as left-handed model.
