Developed in collaboration with “Banjo Ben” Clark, Jake Stogdill, and Robby Boone, the OB-3 is a faithful rebirth of J.D. Crowe’s legendary RB-3 “Banger.” This special radiused fingerboard version keeps all the defining features of the OB-3 while adding a compound radius to the fingerboard, making playability smoother and more comfortable—especially for modern players.
The “No-Hole” flathead tone ring gives the OB-3 its tight sustain and powerful Bluegrass punch, while original prewar-style specs such as slanted resonator walls, concentric rings, Presto-style tailpiece, and pearloid “Leaves & Bows” inlay make this banjo both a work of art and a stage powerhouse. Each model is carefully set up and includes an archtop hardshell case, with options for capo spikes, pickup, or Zero Glide upgraded nut.
