The CEB-5 was born from the success of the 4-string CEB-4, giving five-string banjoists a bold new voice. With its 14-inch pot (the largest in production today), a custom Remo Renaissance head, and specially designed high-tension nylon strings, the CEB-5 delivers gut-rumbling lows and an entirely new sonic dimension for banjo players.
Tuned a full octave below standard five-string tunings (GDGBD), this banjo provides a bass-like presence while still allowing familiar clawhammer, Scruggs-style, or Newgrass techniques. The Canadian maple neck, bound ebony fretboard, and sunburst finish ensure it looks as good as it sounds. The Rolled brass tone ring, dual coordinator rods, and GT Master Planetary tuners guarantee both stability and professional-level tone. Includes a hard shell case and is also available in a left-handed version.
